Arm liposuction

Before the procedure, you will have a personal consultation with a doctor to assess your needs, health and expectations. Once you have given your consent for arm liposuction, a date for the operation will be set based on this consultation.

On the day of the operation, you can eat and drink as usual, except for coffee. After marking the area from which fat will be removed and applying a local anaesthetic, the doctor will use the Body Jet device to gently break up and remove fat droplets from the subcutaneous tissue without damaging the surrounding tissue, blood vessels or nerves. The entire procedure takes about an hour and ends with sterile bandages being applied instead of stitches. These will be removed at home after seven to nine days.

Rest is recommended for up to three days after the procedure, during which time light daily activities are possible. To support healing and smooth the skin, it is important to wear compression sleeves on the arms. Bruising and swelling under the skin usually disappear within two weeks, and it takes three to six months to see the final results. Wobenzym, lukewarm compresses and lymphatic massages can also promote healing.
